MREA Mondays: The Nine Ways an MREA Thinks

Today’s call kicked off with some fun news – it’s going to be MREA Monday all week long! The topic today – the 9 Ways an MREA Thinks – is a big one, so we want to be sure to give it enough time to unpack the many great conversations we can have around it.

All of us want to have successful businesses. And sometimes it can be hard to recognize what we have to do to achieve our goals. No surprise, it starts with how we approach our businesses at the get-go. Our perspective and attitude go hand-in-hand with how we go about accomplishing our goals. When we want to achieve more, we need to give ourselves the tools and thinking power to support ourselves in this pursuit.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at these key ways an MREA Thinks:

1. Think Powered by a Big Why

2. Think Big Goals and Big Models

3. Think Possibilities

4. Think Action

5. Think Without Fear

6. Think Progress

7. Think Competitively and Strategically

8. Think Standards

9. Think Service

For our discussion today, we’re focusing on #2 on the list: Think Big Goals and Big Models. (Don’t worry, we didn’t skip over #1 forever. We’ll be spending a whole call on your Big Why over our MREA Mondays coverage in the near future).

We always talk about how habits can help you or hinder you. That you can frame your activities in two ways, looking at the good habits you have and looking at the bad habits you have. On the helpful side when you complete one good habit, what’s the next right habit you should do to continue to push your day in the right direction? Maybe you move from attending the Pivot call to practicing your scripts and dialogues and from there you move on to lead generation. It can be a variety of habits, the point is that when you do them, you create momentum to get your day off to a productive start. That’s a good model. And when you do these activities day in and day out (because they are habits), you have a routine in place that puts you in a prime position to accomplish great things.

And if you aren’t yet doing the right activities, now is the time to figure out how to change that. Look around you and see what models you’d like to emulate. In other words, if you were to incorporate something into your daily routine to make a big difference in your life, what would it be?

Of course, you may have to unlearn some things you’ve done in the past. These are the things that don’t support you on your journey but instead, hinder you. Here’s another question to ask yourself: what daily activity do you currently do that if you stopped doing it, it would have zero impact on the results you’re seeking? That’s probably a bad habit. And by figuring this out, you can pinpoint the old habits you need to get rid of to make room for the better habits.

Remember, this is your life and your business. Build it on your terms and with your goals in mind. At the same time, use the models that already exist to help you accomplish great things.
